HandyQuote does not provide accounting, tax, legal, insurance or surveying advice. Figures such as overhead recovery, hourly rates and profit margins are arithmetic based on the numbers you enter. For advice on your tax position, VAT, or the terms you offer your own clients, speak to a qualified accountant or solicitor.

Your numbers drive the result

The app can only be as accurate as the inputs. If your weekly overheads, billable hours, hourly rate, material prices or estimated hours are wrong or out of date, the suggested price will be wrong too. Review your Settings regularly, and always sense-check a quote against the actual job before sending it to a client.

AI estimates and market benchmarks

• Time and material forecasts generated from a job description are AI-produced approximations. They can be incomplete or simply wrong, and they cannot see the site, its access, its condition or any hidden work.
• Regional and market price benchmarks are indicative ranges only. They are not verified quotes from named competitors, are not a price recommendation, and may be out of date.
• You must review, adjust and take responsibility for every estimate before relying on it.

Quotes you send are yours

A quote produced in HandyQuote is not a contract between us and your client. The commercial relationship, the scope of work, any warranties and any dispute are entirely between you and your client. We are not a party to it and take no responsibility for the work carried out.

Compliance is your responsibility

You remain responsible for pricing lawfully and transparently, for VAT and tax treatment, for consumer information requirements when quoting householders, and for any licensing, certification or insurance your trade requires.

No guarantee of results

We do not promise that using HandyQuote will win you more work, increase your profit, or prevent you from underquoting. Any examples shown in the app are illustrations, not projections of your earnings.

Limits of liability

Our liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected. Last updated 17 August 2026.
