Acceptable Use Policy
HandyQuote lets you store client details, write job descriptions and message our team. This page sets out how that must be used.
Use the service lawfully
You must not use HandyQuote for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive. That includes creating quotes intended to mislead a customer, impersonating another business, or using the app in connection with work you are not licensed or insured to carry out.
Content you enter
- Only enter client information you are entitled to hold, and no more of it than you need for the quote.
- Do not enter special category data (health, ethnicity, religion, biometrics) or payment card details into quote fields, job descriptions or support messages.
- Do not upload profile pictures or content that is obscene, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's copyright or trade marks.
- Do not upload malware, or content designed to attack or interfere with the service.
Support and messaging
Messages sent through the Support page go to a real person. Please keep them civil. Abuse, threats, discriminatory language or spam sent to our team may result in your account being suspended. Do not use support tickets to send marketing or bulk messages.
Fair use of the platform
- One free trial per person or business. Do not create additional accounts, use disposable emails, or use proxies to obtain extra free quotes.
- Do not share a single Pro account across multiple separate businesses, or resell access to it.
- Do not scrape, automate, load-test, or attempt to reverse-engineer the app or its AI estimating features.
- Do not probe or bypass security controls, or try to access another user's data. If you find a vulnerability, please report it through Support rather than exploiting it.
AI features
The estimating and benchmarking features must be used for genuine job pricing. Do not use them to generate unrelated content, to attempt to extract the underlying model or prompts, or to produce misleading claims about market rates.
Reporting and enforcement
If you see something that breaches this policy, tell us on the Support page. Depending on how serious a breach is, we may warn you, remove content, suspend or close your account, or report the matter to the authorities. Where an account is closed for a breach we do not usually refund the remaining period — see our Refund Policy.
