Cookie Policy

HandyQuote keeps this simple: we only use the storage we need to keep you signed in and to run the app. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

What we use

  • Authentication tokens (strictly necessary) — stored in your browser so you stay signed in between visits and page reloads. Cleared when you sign out.
  • Quote draft storage (strictly necessary) — the quote you are working on is kept in your browser's local storage so you do not lose it when moving between the Calculator and Summary screens, or if you close the tab by accident.
  • Preference storage (strictly necessary) — small values such as whether you have already seen the welcome tour, so we do not show it again.
  • Payment provider cookies (strictly necessary) — when you open the checkout, our payment provider sets cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.

What we do not use

We do not run Google Analytics or any other analytics product, we do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels, and we do not share browsing behaviour with third parties for marketing. Because everything we store is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, no cookie consent banner is required under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

How to control storage

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you do, you will be signed out and any unsaved quote draft will be lost, and parts of HandyQuote may stop working. Signing out from the navigation bar clears your session data on that device.

More information

For what we do with the data itself, see our Privacy Policy. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page and ask for consent first. This version is dated 17 August 2026. Questions? Use the Support page.
